What is Mugs?

Mugs is the first self-portrait studio outside of London, where you take the shots. No photographer. No awkward posing. No one watching. Just you, great lighting, a clicker, and total control to show up how you want to be seen.

Come for the LinkedIn glow-up, stay for the Tinder pics, the family portraits, or that one shot your mum will finally frame.

How it Works

Step Into the Studio


You’ll be greeted by your Host, they’ll show you the ropes, hand you the clicker, fire up your playlist, and get the wind machine ready so you feel like a star from the first snap.

Then, they’ll step out, leaving you total privacy to pose, pout and play around.

And if you need a helping hand, your host is always on hand.

Add professional retouching to your favourites, and we’ll give your mug the glow-up it deserves.

Choose 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Every session includes unlimited photos (take as many as you can click) and a print-out to take home. Price is for one person, want to bring more mugs?

FAQs

  • As many as you can take in your booked time. Seriously. Go wild.
    Plus you’ll leave with a printed photo to take home.

  • Not by default. We keep it raw and real.

    But if you want extra magic retouches, you can add when you book.

  • Each package price covers one mug. Want more? Add extra mugs for £20pp when you book.

    The photo area comfortably fits up to 5 people in one shot, but you can bring a crew of up to 12 into the studio to take turns, hype each other up, or just hang out while you shoot.

  • Your shooting time + a 15-min buffer for tidy up/reset. In the buffer you will also choose your favourite pic to get printed.

    So if you book 15 minutes, you’re shooting for 15 minutes, not cleaning up.

  • Bring clothes, props, or outfits if you want or raid our studio props.

    Outfit changes are welcome in the longer sessions.

  • Your vibe. We’ll throw on your playlist, turn on the fan wind machine, and then leave you to it (in total privacy).

  • All online when you book. Easy.
